Douglas C-54 (DC-4) Air Transport Command USAAF July 1942-June 1948. USA military aircraft that became DC-4 in airline use. The primary role of this command was ferrying new combat aircraft and freight from factories to combat areas. The ATC had more than 800 C-54 aircraft at wars end.
