Green #39 aircraft crewed by Owen Cathcart Jones and Ken Waler was one of three DH-88 Comets entered in the race which was won by the red #34. Jim Mollison and wife Amy Johnson in the black #63 were forced out of the race while leading on the second day after a refuel stop with low grade petrol damaged the highly tuned engines. scale 1/72
